Image Licensing:

Specifications - All high res images at sf bay images are carefully processed.

• File format: TIFF, PSD or JPEG (or probably any digital file you need)
• High res images available on CD (images at 300 dpi) or by being placed on a server for your printer to download.
• Low res images are available for download over the Internet or over email.
• Comping images are available for free, inquire with an email or phone call.

Licensing Fees on the average are around $200.00 per image for most non exclusive uses. Exclusive uses or rights for major ad campaigns average around $12,000.00 per image. Images are removed from the data base one they are sold for exclusive uses.

Protected licensing fees are dependent upon the end use of an image, which is determined by several factors including: type of use, size / placement of the image, total print run, and type of rights requested. We place a high value on good, repeat clients. When you have a project with a very tight budget, your account history will be taken into consideration.

These images will can be re-used in perpetuity on a non-exclusive basis. If you have need for such a collection now, please call us and we can burn a CD by categories. We use pictopia.com to print our photographic prints which uses Fuji Crystal Archive Paper and giclee prints. Giclee prints are fine art quality archival prints.

SFBAYIMAGES.com is now offering large format prints. black + white prints are printed on Epson series printers using the Epson 2200 and the Epson 7600 on photo enhanced paper, glossy or better using archival inks. This type of printing is called Giclee printing. Giclee (jhee-clay) - Derived from the French verb giclee meaning to squirt. The term giclee print typically connotes a certain elevation in printmaking technology. Images are high resolution digital scans printed with archival quality inks onto high quality archival papers. The giclee process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.

Another tremendous advantage to Giclee printing is that artwork can be reproduced to almost any size and on various media, giving the us the ability to customize prints for a specific client. While our prices are in standard sizes on the web site, we can make custom sized prints.

We can print most of the images in our database in black + white, sepia tone and duo tone prints. Not all photographs translate into black + white well. We will experiment and present a series of black + whites in a concept for you to chose from. We can develop a custom private collection for your interior design or you can use one of the photo series we have already developed.
