Burke Beardsley is a native of Tiburon California. He started sailing at the age of 7 with his father and never lost his passion for the sea and San Francisco Bay. Burke spent four years in the U.S. Coast Guard performing search and rescue missions at sea in and around the Hawaiian islands, and off the coast of Northern California. Beardsley spent several years in the Caribbean where he served as master aboard large yachts. He also ran dive boats and served as Divemaster for several dive companies both commercial and recreational.

Beardsley has been working on the San Francisco bay for over 25 years as a Captain. He has served as master aboard vessels ranging from tug boats, to yachts, to commercial vessels of all shapes, sizes, and functions. Burke currently holds a U.S. Coast Guard Masters license, and pilots state of the art next generation high speed ferries. He also owns and operates marine film works.

Burke Beardsley founded Bay Adventures in 1999. Sandra Cannon joined Bay adventures in 2001. The two of them joined forces to grow the business. Burke on the maritime side and Sandra on the internet marketing side. The two found a niche in the marine film services market and have since worked on many film projects. Including major motion pictures, commercials, music videos, aquatic sporting events, and documentaries. Bay Adventures was sold in 2006.

In this new chapter, Burke Beardsley provides marine film services with marinefilmworks.com and Sandra Cannon provides marine HD video production and photography services with sfbayimages.com. Her HD video work has been seen world wide and her photography published in 100's of magazines.
