All 3 of these videos were shot on the same day with different camears. Location: Contintental Shelf, Gulf of the Farallones,
Pacific Ocean. We were shooting documentary footage for a production company.
SFBayImages.com Marine Production Services - Handheld gyro stabilized Full HD HDV footage captured in the Gulf of the Farallones. The footage produced employing gryo handheld stablizers is usually pretty good for many production uses. For documentaries, commerical and film projects, a makohead stabilizer or other system is definitely preferable. See our other samples.
We can capture for you anything marine from nature to sailboats to tankers and lighthouses.

Makohead Marine Production Sample www.SFBAYIMAGES.com . This is some footage we produced for a documentary in the Gulf of the Farallones. We were looking for sharks, but found breaching whales, dolphin, lots of palegic birds, scientists, the continental shelf and the Farallon Islands.
This is a short piece of footage we took directly off the camera without editing. It does have "cuts" where the camera is turned on and off. What we are trying to illustrate here is the nature of the raw assets using the makohead stabilizer. The horizon is stable, the shots are long and there is a lot to choose from. If you are familar with marine photography, you know that even the littlest wave, boat vibrations, camera operator "sea legs" and other problems on the open water usually creates editing challenges.

Makohead Demo
Video showing the makohead in action on the back of a 32 foot Grandbanks picnic boat on windy day on the San Francisco Bay with choppy seas. The camera operator in the clip is Thom Miller. The video was taken with an HDV gryo stablized hand-held camera.
We have lots of experience out to sea. Lots of time behind a camera and travel anywhere.
