Sea Magazine called Sandra Cannon "The Annie Liebowitz of the Sea" due to her enthusiasm for her marine photography and film work. Sandra Cannon, a photographer and film-maker, has taken all types of marine and nautical imagery from aerial to macro including whales, yacht racing, maritime industry, lighthouses, coastal shorelines and tidepools. Her relationship with and respect for the sea is revealed with her photographic exploration of the worlds and communities of the water. She currently focuses on the San Francisco Bay and surrounding waters capturing images from the air, water and earth. Sandra lives in Sausalito, California on the San Francisco Bay. She was an avid sailer, rower, diver and most watersports in her youth and grew up on the beaches of Southern California and Long Island New York. Her Great Grandfather was a nordic ship's captain and the sea is in her blood.
