The Art of Atmosphere. Create the background.
Sandra Cannon, SFBayImages.com owner and photographer, has been developing series of images for DVDs designed to create a backdrop, set a mood, provide serenity, bring back memories, or invoke ambience. In 1992 while walking on what was then a premium pristine remote beach (that now not in existance due to development) she got the idea that large screens showing nature would be of paramount importance in interior landscapes in the future. She was formally trained as an architect, holds a degree in environmental design and had spent much creative time (1985-1992) designing interior spaces. While attending classes at the American Film Institute and their high technology salons in the early 90's, she got the idea, that television screens might be used for background pieces in interior design rather then just for watching analogue stories. Her idea is that digital images and art could contribute in everyday life as a calming, energizing, peaceful, relaxing, lofty or grounding medium, rather then constantly bombardment with news and negative information. If this is too much thinking of the underlying concept, then please just enjoy the atmosphere.
